HITLIST WHAT WE HEARD

The plan to move the 271 bus terminus from Pond Square has been shelved due to lack of funds. TFL propose to cease the 271 night bus. The C2 bus route will cease and be replaced by an extension of the No 88 bus route. TFL considered expanding the service of the 603 school bus [Swiss Cottage-Hampstead-Highgate-Muswell Hill] but decided there was not sufficient demand to warrant it.

DONATE TO THE HIGHGATE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS APPEAL

The Highgate Christmas Lights may be up but they’re not fully paid for yet!

The lights cost £8,592.00 to erect, take down and store and the contractor we use is called Blachere - we are into the third year of a three year deal with them. On top of this we need money for two banners which will advertise our sponsors (this year its Streathers Solicitors, Haringey Council and Channing School) – a donation of £1,000.000 or more constitutes being a sponsor.

We also need to raise money for light repairs (broken bulbs, wall fixing repairs etc) and for taking down old lights from a tree in Pond Square for which Camden have quoted around £1,000.00 to do.

Please Donate:
